| Largo,
Florida January 22, 1998 MyMall Network
Corporation, the Internet's leading network of electronic shopping malls, announced today
the opening of its latest high-tech shopping mall: Cyber-TV Mall. The new mall is the result of an agreement between the MyMall Network
and AMN Marketing for the development of a site that would bridge TV advertising to the
Internet using the latest technology available. The site presently includes sixteen
offers, hand-picked from the thousands of "as-seen-on TV" ads that were
suggested. To convey the message, MyMall uses video-streaming, a technology allowing the
visitor to immediately start viewing the Ad on video as the file is being downloaded. An
800 number is shown, for more information or to order. All the client needs to take
advantage of that technology is the Internet's most popular plugin that is available
free of charge (over 25 million users).
"The benefits are two-fold." said Serge Gravelle,
President/CEO of MyMall Network. "The network benefits from the equivalent of about
$1.2 million per month in TV advertising cost from AMN. And then MyMall's clients benefit
from the millions of potential buyers that the same promotion will bring to the network
for years to come."
"You see," continued Gravelle, "when potential
buyers see our Internet address on TV (over 1,200 times per day across the USA) and take
the time to go online for more information, they become very "qualified
buyers". And then once on our site, the only easy way out is through the rest of the
network, and that where our clients are waiting for them."
Although the site is in its infancy, reported sales were
immediately registered, on its very first day in business - a result rarely seen on the
Internet. By March of this year, over forty of the best-selling infomercials on TV will be
seen on selltv.com. Heartland Music and Time Life, two of the most successful TV
advertisers in the country, will be major players. There are even talks about having
Microsoft, Netscape and other Internet giants join the network.
"Over the last 18 months we have been very quiet,
building a strong reputation within the Internet's inner-circle." stated Gravelle.
"But within the next few months everything will change, especially that we now have
22 malls and over 2,000 stores on the network, people are starting to notice us. We can't
wait to see the face of people who doubted us!"
An interesting fact is that Mr. Gravelle met for the first
time with AMN's President (Joseph Gray) less than a year ago at a seminar put together by
the world-renown Income Builders International,
a place where such unexpected meetings are a regular occurrence. To have brought all that
technology and players together in such a short term is considered an amazing achievement.
